Maxine’s March Round-up: Emma Willis, B-Corp and International Women's Day!

With the clocks going forward and the days getting longer, March brings in the beauty of spring. It was a very busy month for all of us here at Absolute Collagen and I can’t wait to tell you all about it. Read on to find out more about what we’ve been up to…

Emma Willis

Starting off the month with one of our biggest brand announcements ever, Absolute Collagen are so proud to announce our newest “Strong In Your Skin” campaign and partnership with Emma Willis. As well as being a sensational TV presenter, Emma is now our newest brand Absoluter, where she will work closely with us on our future projects. What stemmed from our first encounter on a charity walk with Coppafeel led to an incredible friendship between Emma and I, and now she is our first ever brand Absoluter. Our “Strong in Your Skin” campaign celebrates owning who you are and championing absolute possibility. We believe Emma is the perfect ambassador for this and you can find out more about the campaign and why we wanted to work with Emma here. 

B-Corp Certified

Adding on to even more exciting brand news… Absolute Collagen is officially a Certified B Corporation ® Company! A B Corp™ Certified
Company is one that uses their business and industry presence to help develop a more sustainable and inclusive environment for their customers, employees and the wider community. Following the B Corp assessment process, Absolute Collagen met the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability resulting in us attaining this incredible accreditation. I am so proud of how far Absolute Collagen has come with its environmental achievements and even with this recognition, we will always strive to do more. 

International Women’s Day 

March 8th marks International Women’s Day (IWD) and here at Absolute Collagen we did not miss an opportunity to celebrate this remarkable day. As a company founded by two women, we take pride in being a brand that celebrates strong, empowered and phenomenal women. So, our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion committee got to work and made it an incredible day. Darcy hosted an in office talk with Team AC talking about her journey being co-founder, the struggles she has faced being a young woman in the industry and answering questions our team wanted to know. We also asked everyone to wear purple, the colour associated with IWD. 

Continuing on with the theme of IWD, Darcy and I attended the “Buy Women’s Built” and  “Phoenix Business Club” events both honouring International Women’s Day. The Buy Women’s Built event was a fantastic experience celebrating the world’s first ever women’s built department store. To be surrounded by a room full of amazing brands all founded by women was absolutely sensational.

Cosmoprof Awards

Lastly, to round off the eventful month of March our Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner duo was shortlisted as a finalist for the Best Hair Product category at the Cosmoprof Beauty Awards. Although we may not have won this award, to be shortlisted amongst 690 other entries is an incredible achievement in itself and we had an amazing evening attending the awards ceremony too.
