Maxine’s January Round-Up: Pilates Events, Content Days and Climbing The Tallest Mountain In Africa!

Hello my lovely Absoluters. I hope everyone has had the much needed reset that January has to offer. It’s been another exciting and action-packed month at Absolute Collagen, and I couldn’t wait to share all of the highlights with you. From team bonding moments to thrilling adventures, January has truly been one for the books. Sp, sit back, relax and let me take you through everything that’s been happening! 💛

A Welcome Back Curry Night!

Our January started with a lovely evening out with the team. After a busy few weeks, it felt so refreshing to get everyone back in the same place. To celebrate our reunion, we hosted a wonderful post-work curry night. It was a fantastic way to reconnect, share stories, and enjoy some delicious food together. The energy in the room was contagious as we sat down to curry bowls and caught up on everyone’s antics over the Christmas break - I honestly don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in ages!

Absoluter Pilates

This month I also hosted my very own pilates event for our wonderful customers! We held it at ‘Playground Studios UK’ who is owned by the most lovely lady. It is always such a privilege to support another incredible female business. The day was filled with great energy, brunch, collagen smoothies and of course, Pilates. Another one ticked off my ’60 things before I’m 60’ bucket list. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones as we moved through the class together. The event wasn’t just about fitness; it was a chance to connect with our community in a meaningful way, and I loved every minute of it. 🧘‍♀️💪

The ‘Collagen Commitment’ Content Day

To kick off the AC year with lots of exciting content, the winners of our 12-week ‘Collagen Commitment’ competition were invited into HQ for a photo shoot and consultations with our resident skin and hair experts. We’re so excited to work with such a passionate group of Absoluters as they commit to incorporating Absolute Collagen into their daily routines. The day was just lovely, we had a delicious breakfast and lunch spread made the team and everyone was just such a joy to be around! We’ve already had such inspiring stories and incredible results, and it’s just the beginning! It’s so incredible to see how Absolute Collagen is transforming their lives and health. I’m so proud of this journey we’re on together! 💛

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro

So, if you follow me on social media you’ll know that this month I embarked on an adventure of a lifetime… and what a crazy adventure it was. I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and I cannot believe I get to say that out loud! 8 days, 5 climate zones and a 3-mile vertical climb, all in aid of a charity so very close to my heart - the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. If you’d asked me prior to going how I felt about climbing one of the world’s seven summits I would openly say that I was incredibly nervous but I knew this wasn’t about me, it’s all about raising money for the hospital. It was a tough trek, we all felt the tiredness, having to acclimatise, and the rapid change in weather  but we all made it to the summit, 5895 metres at the Uhuru Peak. What an incredible feeling this was! 🗻 Now, it wouldn’t be a trek with Maxine if something didn’t go a little wrong… After reaching the top of the summit, I had unfortunately fallen, landing on my metal water bottle, which meant that I could no longer continue the trek. So, I was taken down the mountain by helicopter. Talk about a dramatic exit! I want to assure you all that I am okay and I am at home resting. Nevertheless, in spite of this little hiccup, I am so proud of myself and the other 27 wonderful people who joined me on this trip of a lifetime. 💛

As always, I’m incredibly grateful for all the support we’ve received this month. It’s the energy, dedication, and love from each and every one of you that makes Absolute Collagen a thriving, vibrant community. We’re only getting started this year, and I’m so excited for the months ahead. We have some very exciting things coming up so keep your eyes peeled! Bye 💛
